34 Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association & World Pharmacists Day Celebration

The Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA), Maharashtra State Branch, Mumbai in collaboration with School of Pharmacy, D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai and Drugs Inspector Welfare Association (DIWA), Maharashtra will host 34th Annual Conference of IPGA between September 24, 2022 and September 25, 2022. World Pharmacists Day will also be celebrated as a part of the Conference on September 25, 2022. The theme of the conference is “India as a Pharmacy of the World Opportunities and Challenges.” The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Pharmacist Day 2022 theme underlines the importance of professional unity. This year theme aims to showcase pharmacy’s positive impact on health around the world and to further strengthen solidarity among the profession. FIP is the global body representing over 4 million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. FIP has announced “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world” as the theme of World Pharmacists Day. According to Dr Nitin Deore, vice president, west, IPGA and organising secretary of the Conference, “This conference will usher in discussion on the theme – India as Pharmacy of the World opportunities and Challenges in presence of internationally renowned eminent speakers from policy makers, industry, academics and healthcare sectors. The conference is being held at D Y Patil University which stands as a symbol of excellence in education and health care under the able guidance of Chancellor Dr Vijay D Patil. IPGA appeals to all pharma professionals to attend such a mega event.” DIWA has been established with a mission to provide world class quality monitoring in pharmaceutical commerce and health care management through good regulatory practices. IPGA was established in 1973 to ensure proper education and training for pharmacy graduates. It also liaises with the decision making authorities and employees to project the contribution of pharmacy graduates in the industry. It also strives to get the pharmacy and other allied professions, positions and perks commensurate with their qualifications and contributions.
